Back in 2009, on the set of "Ip Man 2", Darren Shahlavi inspired me to take control of my body. He and I were about the same age, we both had a passion for our acting careers, and we both had gone through some pretty traumatic experiences in our 20's. The big difference was that he was in incredible shape, and I was not. So I committed to myself to learn everything I could about nutrition and exercise. That was the beginning of my very first transformation. I looked and felt like a new person, which was a very refreshing feeling. Naturally, I then wanted to share what I was learning with all those around me, and I wrote my first book. It was more of a compilation of the information I had been accumulating in my brain on nutrition and exercise. But unfortunately, it never made it to bookshelves.
However, I never stopped that passion for learning and doing my best to keep myself in change. I also learned that even though I had achieved great shape once, maintaining it was not as easy as I thought. I also had to learn how to adjust to living with a wonderful girl, whose nutritional requirements and eating habits were much different than what I had developed at that point in time.
Today is the first of what will now be a bi-weekly sharing of my journey and what I have discovered. I hope that you will find it very useful as well.
